People will just move out of Lisle. Property values will fall due to the high taxes.

Just imagine how much worse it would be if we had not given Navistar all of the tax incrementalRead Morefina ncing relief. All those employees that moved here and all of the increased sales tax and hotel revenues surely have made things better, Oh wait...that didn't happen. It may be old news now, but there is a cause and effect.

This is what happens when a Park District tries to run businesses. Why do we need to pay for aRead Morelosi ng restaurant, health club, and golf course?

Restaurants, golf courses, and health clubs are not cheap.
Dick March 29, 2014 at 11:56 AM
Government run golf, restaurants, and health clubs just compete with and eventually put privateRead Morecomp anies out of business. What is the public purpose of taxing everyone to subsidize golf for a few people? To subsidize a mediocre restaurant mostly used by non-residents (non-resident pay the same amount for their diner that tax-paying residents do)? To subsidize a fitness center that costs more to use than a local comparable health club?

I just don't get how they can continue to raise our taxes without referendums on an annual basis. Read MoreT his is not fire/police/critical services.

Move along. They have it well contained.

Just like the gulf spill. I seem to remember some inaccuracies about the amount spilled and whether Read Morethat leak was fully contained. Are they telling the truth now? Plus I don't feel that a few guys in hazmat suits with shovels is a high tech response. Of course that was four of five people who had jobs.

And, as usual, Joanna - you omit facts. Certainly your right as it's your obtuse blog. But don'tRead Moret oot your horn about posting "TRUTH" or "FACTS" when you choose to omit them. ---- Here's what the Almost Home Foundation has to say about the sick, injured dogs they saved from Puppy (Mill) Parlor, and your buddy Tammy Coglianese, and the money AHF needs to raise to pay for all those surgeries, medical procedures, medications, and rehabilitation of those neglected dogs -http://www.almosthomefoundation.org/newsite_SpecialStory/PuppyMill_Lisle.html ---- AHF volunteers recently appeared on WGN TV with some of the dogs rehabilitated from Puppy (Mill) Parlor. Here's the clip that aired Friday 4/4/14 - http://wgntv.com/2014/04/04/adopt-a-pet-almost-home-foundation/#tHLYuKewUZSMoE7d.01 ---- Lastly, AHF gave the Companion Animal Protection Society (CAPS) a "4 Paws Up" for our work to save those dogs from the horrors of the back room of Puppy (Mill) Parlor - http://www.almosthomefoundation.org/newsite_SpecialStory/PuppyMill_CAPS.html ---- These are the things you should have on your blog if, in fact, you are objective and truthful. I won't hold my breath though.
