Learn how to organize and apply effective leadership skills to produce positive outcomes at a workshop, “Developing a Philosophy of Leadership,” from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17 at the Margaret and Harold Moser Center, 1832 Centre Point Circle, Suite 102, in Naperville.

The workshop is sponsored by the Women’s Institute for Global Leadership at Benedictine University and is open to the public. The cost is $50. To reserve a space, register at www.ben.edu/wi.

The Women’s Institute at Benedictine is an educational clearinghouse for emerging and top female leaders and offers a myriad of academic and non-academic leadership programs for women.

The workshop will be facilitated by Cleophus Downing, Ph.D., an adjunct professor at Benedictine and management consultant who is actively involved with the Women’s Institute.

She has developed curriculum and instructed courses in Strategic Marketing, the Art of Speech Communications, Organizational Behavior, and many others. She also teaches students how to better understand race and gender differences in the workplace to help leaders appreciate and recognize different values and cultural norms among employees.

Attendees will develop skills that will help them enhance their openness, creativity, assertiveness and many other qualities of a results-driven leader.
