VOTE: Who Serves Up Your Favorite Pizza?
A meal staple for children, college kids, and people who really, really love cheese. So where do you make the call?
Patch wants to know who Lisle residents designate their 'go-to' village businesses.
Voting closes at 5 p.m. on Wednesday for ‘Best Of’ Breakfast Spot. Make sure you’ve cast your vote, and don’t forget to check back for the official winner on Thursday morning!
This week’s topic: pizza. That not-quite-Italian, not-quite-American dish remains beloved by most, and there’s no shortage of both chain and family-owned options nearby. While the village said goodbye to Vini in 2011, Pizzeria Bombola will be making a 2012 debut.
Where do you purchase your pie?
How to vote
Choose your favorite option from the poll below through next Wednesday morning. For purposes of keeping the contest manageable, only establishments within village limits are eligible. (Chain options, like Papa John’s and Domino’s, require a write-in vote.)
Recommend a specialty pizza, appetizer or weekly special? Have a favorite spot that's out of town? Make a note in the comments.
EDITOR'S NOTE: The Best Of series is for-fun purposes only, because it's winter, and kind of boring. Voters are on the honor system. Please, keep comments constructive and friendly. This space is for celebrating who you think deserves to be called the best of the village, and obviously opinions will vary. We have a spot on the site for providing your specific customer experiences, and it's called our Places directory.
About Best Of: We'll be pitting cuisines against each other (do you order your pizza from Evviva! or Barraco's? ribs from Firehouse or John's Rib House?). In addition to restaurants, we want to know where you have your car tuned up, get your hair cut, take your drycleaning, even picnic.
As always, anyone with questions about the contest or nominations (for future categories, businesses, or service providers) can contact Editor Karlie Baker at karlie@patch.com.

Has anyone had Nattie's before? Every time I think to try it, it's closed (usually Mondays).

Nope, "not a scientific poll".

It's true, it's not scientific. (Those who vote on their Patch accounts will be limited to one vote.)
But more than the final poll numbers, I'm interested in specifics on what you order, why you go, if there's a particular server you favor, etc. What makes it so darn special to you? I'll re-feature these comments when we review the most popular choices next Thursday.

I agree...but they're technically in Downers Grove.
Also really like Uncle Pete's in Naperville!

I've heard good things about Dan's but haven't tried yet. Any recommendations?

Had Barraco's for the first time tonight - very good! Need to extend the voting deadline so I can be sure to sample each one.

My pizza philosophy is - buy a lot, and eat it for days!
We had a a deep dish sausage, which was excellent, and a thin crust sausage, mushroom and black olive pizza. It was almost too many toppings! Very good!

Barracco's has one of the best in lisle. But Dan's in downers grove is my favorite
