UPDATED: Five File for 2011 Village Trustee Positions

Three incumbents and two new candidates have filed their nominating papers for three open spots on the 2011 village board of trustees.

Three seats are up for grabs next spring on the village board of trustees, and it seems at least one of those will be occupied by an incument. The filing period ended at 5 p.m. today and business office manager Kristine Curran said five individuals submitted papers.

According to Curran, current trustees Mark Boyle, Cathy Cawiezel and Ed Young filed nominating papers last week. Today Gary Ledvora and Richard Wilkie also submitted petitions. Information on ballot order is forthcoming.

Just what Lisle needs..a moron like Wilkie who fought against all the benefits Navistar will and has brought already to Lisle. Then lied and said he helped bring Navistar. Go Young, Boyle and Cawitzell

I would like to know each candidates position on use of TIF's, on how they plan to reduce spending, how they plan to restore the government fund balace used for downtown redevelopment.
From the incumbants, I would like to know the "payback" on the $20Million that has been pulled from government reserve funds in excess of revenues over the past 10 years. What did we gain?

When are packets available for folks interested in running for Mayor or Trustee in the Village of Lisle in the Spring 2013 election? When are the packets due? Has anyone already picked up packets and started collecting signitures?

When are the packets due? How come the Village of Lisle doesn't post this info on their website like the City of Wheaton does? I sure hope its not because our mayor doesn't want competition! Surely he believes in the democratic process. And "there are no secrets in Lisle" - right.

Why no Patch coverage on Lisle elections like the Wheaton coverage?

Its nowhere to be found on the Village of Lisle website.
Yet, we can find a "like" button for facebook, a whole page for a french market (which is not run by the village - but a private corporation), and even info on the lisle downtown merchants trick-or-treating times. But info for a citizen to obtain and file petitions to run for trustee or mayor in the spring 2013 election? Nowhere to be found on the taxpayer supported website.
