Support the Susan G. Komen Foundation with LWFD
The Lisle-Woodridge Fire District together with Fighters Union, IAFF Local 2986 will be participating in an awareness and fundraising campaign for Women's Cancers Monday, October 11th through Saturday, October 16th. The Lisle-Woodridge Firefighters are joining members of the International Association Fire Fighters throughout the United States and Canada during October (National Breast Cancer Awareness Month) to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention and cure.
On-duty firefighters, officers, and administrative personnel will be wearing specially designed pink t-shirts in place of their regular work uniform shirts. The same pink t-shirts will be sold to the public for $15.00 each. T-shirts can be purchased at any of the five fire stations from 8:00am to 5:00pm all week long, or at the Jewel Stores, Monday – Friday from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, and on Saturday from 10:00am to 5:00pm. The locations are as follows:
