Northwestern College’s Naperville Campus Held 2012 Holiday Drive to Benefit Family Shelter Service!

[Naperville, IL]  Northwestern College’s Naperville Campus (1809 N. Mill Street) just completed its Holiday Drive for 2012, with all proceeds benefiting The Family Shelter Service, a shelter that assists women and children of DuPage County who have been victims of domestic violence.  Over November and December, students, staff, faculty and the Naperville community donated a variety of toys for the children and clothing for both women and children.  All donations collected were taken toThe Family Shelter’s drop-off location where they will be organized and set up for the women and children to “shop” from later this month, prior to the Christmas Holiday.

Family Shelter Service is a temporary shelter for battered women and their children.  Many of these families leave all of their possessions to escape their abusive environment.  In an effort to provide some joy to these children and their mothers, Northwestern College’s Naperville Campus asked its students, staff and faculty to participate by donating a gift at any dollar amount.
