Lisle Park District Releases Notice of Proposed Property Tax Increase

I.               A public hearing to approve a proposed property tax levy increase for the Lisle Park District for the 2010 tax levy year will be held on December 16, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at the Park District Community Center, 1825 Short Street, Lisle, IL.

Any person desiring to appear at the public hearing and present testimony to the taxing district may contact Dan Garvy, Secretary, Board of Commissioners of Lisle Park District, 1825 Short Street, Lisle, Illinois; (630) 964-3410.

II.              The corporate and special purpose property taxes extended or abated for the 2009 tax levy year were $3,901,073.

The proposed corporate and special purpose property taxes to be levied for the 2010 tax levy year are $4,450,000.  This represents a 14.07 percentage increase over the previous year.

III.            The property taxes extended for debt service and public building commission leases for the 2009 tax levy year were $1,322,973.

The estimated property taxes to be levied for debt service and public building commission leases for the 2010 tax levy year are $1,367,394.  This represents a 3.3577 percentage increase from the previous year.

IV.            The total property taxes extended or abated for the 2009 tax levy year were $5,224,045

The estimated total property taxes to be levied for the 2010 tax levy year are $5,817,394.  This represents a 11.36 percentage increase over the previous year.
