Lisle Eyes to the Skies Festival Committee to Present Nearly $50,000 to Local Charities
The Lisle Eyes to the Skies Festival committee will present nearly $50,000 to the festival’s affiliate members.
This year's charities accepting checks for their organizations will be Tom Althoff, Lisle Chamber of Commerce; Lisa Leone, Partners for Parks; Debbie Starr, Lions International; Dennis Webb, Lisle Education Foundation; Fred Haber, Kiwanis International and Mike Shuta, Rotary International.
The Eyes to the Skies Balloon Festival is a not-for-profit, 501c3 organization.
These affiliate members gathered hundreds of volunteers and spent countless hours and tireless effort resulting in the 2012 Eyes to the Skies being a great success. It is the hope of the Eyes to the Skies Festival committee that these financial contributions will assist the Lisle service organizations in continuing to provide their valuable services within the community.
Dates for the 2013 Eyes to the Skies Balloon Festival are

I doubt Navistar will be sponsoring this event or any other community efforts for a very long time... but Lisle taxpayers will be supporting this failing companies bottom line for 23 yrs. Pathetic leadership in Lisle to cut a deal with a nearly bankrupt company.
