According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, car crashes are the most common cause of death for children ages 1 – 12 in the United States. The best way to protect children is to use the right safety seat in the proper way. Get a free check of your safety seat on Aug. 11 from
10 a.m. to 1 p.m. from the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County’s police officers.
During the event, let a certified technician check the proper installation of your child’s safety seat. Officers from multiple local police departments will also be on hand to share information on keeping young passengers safe every time you travel.
Get your safety check at the headquarters building at Danada Forest Preserve at 3S580 Naperville Road in Wheaton. For information on the event, call 630-933-7240.
