Chocolate pours into the Arboretum with "Celebrating Chocolate" this February!
How sweet it is! The "Chocolate Expo" features local vendors who will present a variety of delectable treats and chocolate-based products that you've likely never seen before. Meet local chocolatiers who will introduce you to delicious and exotic chocolate treats. Sample chocolate as you decide on sweet purchases for all of your valentines. All ages. Make your own truffles! "Truffle Making Workshop" teaches how to design classic hand-rolled truffles. Working in groups of four to five, participants will design, melt, chill, scoop, and roll truffles. Each attendee will leave with tasty truffle samples! Cost: $25 (discounts for Arboretum members). Chocolate for Brunch! Enjoy a "Valentine's Day Brunch" featuring chocolate accents throughout the whole meal. Listen to live music while sipping champagne and enjoying the flavors of chocolate. Pizza and Chocolate! Spend a fun afternoon with your child learning about chocolate with "Kid's Chocolate Pizza Making Party." Kids will get to create a chocolate pizza with a variety of candy
toppings, and decorate pretzel twists and marshmallows. Each little candy maker takes home over one pound of chocolate items in a tote symbolizing that they are "Chocolatiers!" The perfect couple! "Bring Out the Best in Each Other: Beer and Chocolate Tasting" pairs artisan beers from Two Brother's Brewing Company of Warrenville with chocolate delicacies from Graham's Fine Chocolates and Ice Cream of Geneva. Also, sample microbrews paired-up with chili in a chocolate-infused sauce, a savory chocolate panini, and baby field greens dressed with a piquant chocolate balsamic vinaigrette.
