BenU Golfer Named to NGCA All-American Scholar Team
The National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Teams for the 2011-12 season have been announced. For the third straight year Benedictine’s Alexis Wadowski has received the honor.
“Alexis continues to demonstrate what Benedictine University women’s golf is all about,” said head coach Frank Janczak. “She is not only a leader on the golf course but in the classroom as well.”
The criteria for the NGCA All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics where each student-athlete has to maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
In all three divisions a total of 585 student-athletes were honored, including 87 in Division III.
The Benedictine University women’s golf team kicks off the 2012 fall season at the Robert Morris Invite on August 31 in Waukegan, Ill. For the complete schedule, visit the women’s golf page on the BenU athletics website at http://benueagles.com/schedule.aspx?path=wgolf.
